De Eindstraat is zo’n karakteristieke dorpse doorgangsweg dat deel uitmaakt an een “langestraatcultuur”. Karakteristiek gemaakt van veel klinkers en weinig trottoir, waar de huizen vanwege het ontbreken van een tuin bijna direct op aansluiten. De laatste jaren kreeg de gemeente steeds meer klachten over geluidsoverlast.
De situatie is verbeterd door een combinatie van maatregelen. De as van de weg is verlegd en de rijbaan versmald met een fietssuggestiestrook. Beide zones zijn voorzien van stille straatstenen Silent Way met een kleur die past binnen het esthetische beleid van de gemeente Heusden. De karakteristiek identiteit van de straat is daarmee behouden.
